La Chaire invite Mike Hamm à Montpellier pour organiser un échange scientifique le jeudi 4 juillet de 14h30 à 16h30.
Mike Hamm est professeur et chercheur au Michigan State University et travaille sur la durabilité des systèmes alimentaires urbains. Il interviendra avec une présentation intitulée : "Potential for City Region Food Systems in the US : Lansing (Michigan) Area as an Example".
This discussion will address several identified advantages to city region food systems for the US, using the Lansing (Michigan) tri-county area as an example. In addition, I will illustrate a few notions of food and sustainability that I perceive as often mis-characterized in current discussions.
